About the author

Hi, my name is Sergio Perez. I am an environmental scientist devoted to water management and environmental impact assessment (EIA) of projects. For the last four years, I have been working in the field of environmental management and hydrological planning, mainly for government and public administrations (Including the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Spanish Ministry of the Environment and the European Commission).

In my daily work, I use and develop a wide variety of geographical tools that allow me to perform complex spatial analyses, as a means to improve the process of decision-making.

The intended purpose of this site is to share with all of you part of my job and to share ideas and thoughts on the exciting world of GIS and water management.
